**Abstract:**
This paper investigates the
aerodynamic actions acting on a tails-less projectile with constant mass. To
define the overall aerodynamic strength acting on the projectile is used a
semi-empirical approach based on the study of the main physical phenomena the
strength is originated from. The problem of the interaction of the projectile
and the air is split into some elementary problems involving each aerodynamic
action, the sum of which gives the overall aerodynamic strength. This approach
allows to clarify the physical meaning of the aerodynamic strengths acting on a
projectile (drag, lift, etc). The overall aerodynamic momentum is defined in an
analogue way using the definition of the aerodynamic strength. The last
paragraph reports some synoptic tables and figures that summarize the former
paragraphs.
